CARTERS 4TH SPIDER-MAN PARTY!

We knew that Carters due date 4 years ago was February 1st. Little did we know he would need to get out 3 weeks early. That checkup on Monday after i had thought i peed my pants in the grocery store was actually little to no amniotic fluid left. We were so scared. Had no idea. Sweet babes due date was January 12. My birthday is the 13th ha ha. I’ll share more about my birth story later!

Winter birthdays are hard. If you know, you know. Summertime you have endless options for places and it’s just freakin summer. So we improvise. The trampoline parks are fun, indoor water parks but indoor roller skating was what we went with. We showed him what it was and he was game. Old school Skate Plaza. I had like 7 of my birthdays here too lol. It was the hot spot in town. Icee’s and you got to request your favorite songs.

Anyways it was a few weeks later because Nates parents were in Mexico and wanted to wait for them to be there & just trying to coordinate with everyone. Kind of a shit show but it worked out! We had the party on his actual due date.

We had a little set up in a private room overlooking the rink. Highly recommend it. It was a prefect spot and in the corner. COEUR D’ ALENE SKATE PLAZA. REQUEST “the semi-private room” we did two pizzas and pitchers of drinks for everyone but they also have the best concessions of easy things. You just add an extra pizza to your package.

We asked @cdaspiderman to come join us. He is a young man dressed in full costume of Spider-Man/ teaches the kids poses/games/skated with the birthday boy/opened up gifts/ birthday cake and candles. He was a hit. Everyone there was taking pictures with him and all the kids talking about his movies. So glad we did that! You can contact him Via instagram @cdaspiderman to book with him.

Decorations can be spendy. If you have a specific theme/color for your party; I would try to thrift some unique items, we had vintage Spider-Man sign and lunch pales for add ons. I created the buildings for table height/ the wrapping paper was the Dollar Store- I grabbed 4 different prints and wrapped random boxes I had at home. We used Amazon & Party City for the rest.

Printable “pow” “bang” “boom” signs are from an Etsy shop online Crowning Details. She has different custom options you can print at home and cut out.
